DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The selected candidate will engage in a comprehensive one-year
training program that combines formal education with practical,
on-the-job experience to acquire the responsibilities associated
with the role of a Sanitarian. This position involves executing the
objectives of the Safe Drinking Water Program by performing
inspections, assessments, consultations, and educational
initiatives aimed at ensuring adherence to established regulations.
The individual will be responsible for inspecting public water
systems, monitoring compliance with regulatory standards, analyzing
monitoring data, and implementing corrective measures or
enforcement actions as required. Additionally, the candidate will
be tasked with entering data into tracking systems and supporting
compliance and enforcement activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork
hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute
lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home
(telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a
securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an
approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to
telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters
office in Knox. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Four
years of technical experience in environmental science,
environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology,
ecology, or a closely related field; orA bachelor's degree in
environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental
health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field; orAn
equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will
be considered to have met the educational requirements once they
are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Special Requirement: This position requires possession of an active
motor vehicle license.
