Job Summary: University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Staff or Senior Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to support the Division of Nephrology within the Department of Medicine.

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Division of Nephrology. This is a full-time position that will support our outpatient office and CKD patients through telemedicine. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members.
  
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
  
• Set the standards for the level and quality of care for the care delivery team.
  
• Contribute to UPMC's mission of Life Changing Medicine.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) or a nurse practitioner program.
    
  • Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or CRNP certification.
    
  • Current CPR certification.
    
  • Act 34 Clearance.
    
  • Minimum 3 years of experience or completion of a post-graduate residency for Senior Level.
